Re: Meeting Tuesday 7 June 2022

Hi Simon.
I remember you bidding on those waders last year.
Are you sure it was a club member ?
I didn't recognise the seller at all , never seen before that night.
Or since.

Re: Meldrum Clouser

Thanks Rubin Rohan is correct , I've never met Kim but I also have been told that he hates that fly being named after himself. The bottom fly was given to me by an old mate Kurt Blanksby. It produced my first metre fish ( 119 cm ) The top fly , my own feeble attempt. I felt that it looked like a big...

Red Jellyfish Exmouth

Just a heads up for anyone who is coming up to
fish Exmouth.
Make sure that you wear trousers if wading.
Went for a fish yesterday arvo at Bundegi and there were a lot of red jellyfish
in the water , I didn't think much of it until I got whacked couple of times.

Re: Flats GTs

Some interesting observations Simon.
Thanks for sharing.
Coincidentally , during the during the last lockdown I spent some time
watching videos of flats GT on fly.
Some of the high speed crash and go takes were spectacular.

Re: SeaDek

Dave , I get where you are coming from. I did the casting deck on a beat up aluminum side console that I picked up for my Northern adventures. ( Alberto wasn't too impressed with my skill set  ) Daniel , like Tony I used light grey plank style. It's also available in Teak / Cork color. Also lik...

Re: SeaDek

Hi Dave .
Not quite what you were asking , I got some cheap foam deck off Ebay.
Been on the boat around 18 months.
Seems to be holding up OK so far.
Just don't forget to take your studded rockhopper off before walking on it. :(

Re: Karratha shore based

Hi Paul Can't help much with Karratha side , but did a little bit of Dampier landbased while waiting on wind and tide. Dampier forshore , walking south towards the commercial marina / causeway produced Queenies , little Goldens , GT and some Bream. Up on the Burrup road if you have access to a suita...
