Meeting Tuesday 3rd March 2020

Post by Tony Ong » Wed Feb 26, 2020 7:25 pm

Hi all
This coming meeting, we have James Laverty from Fly Odyssey Australia presenting some trips that they have on offer. Fly Odyssey Australia is a specialist fly fishing travel booking agent. James is coming along to showcase some of the trips that they have on offer in the next 12 months. Lots of awesome locations, and there might be a fish pic or two to drool over.
Some of the trips that James will go into more detail with.
Eastern Fields in the Coral Sea / PNG
Fly fishing remote, pristine unnamed atolls with big GT’s, Bluefin Trevally, Bohar Snapper, Napoleon, Jobfish and Coral Trout.
Colombian Jungle
Chasing big Peacock Bass, Vampire Fish and Arowana from a remote floating river camp
Cuba, the Isle of Youth
Flats Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Cubera Snapper from the 110ft Avalon I mothership

The last field day was down to Walpole/Nornalup inlet. Was a fantastic weekend, and plenty of fish caught. We'll run an extended roundup of the field day.
The next field day is the Blackwood river. Should be another great field day. This is a camping weekend. Weather permitting, this is a very social event, as everyone gets together in the evenings to have a chat and laugh. Andre/Martin will be along shortly to advise targets for the field day.
Raffle for the month is a Orvis Stripping Basket.
Will be another good evening. Hope to see you there.

Perhaps edit the title of this post Tony - just so people looking at titles and not dates of posting won't miss it....
