Hey guys, for anyone who's interested this is a little fly I've been tying up to take to Cocos in January for bigger Bonefish and Permit. It's basically my version (jazzed up) of the 'Estaz Flats Crab' I think originally tied by Dick Brown in one of his Bonefish fly books ?
Hook - size 2 or 4 Mustad big game (size 2 for these ones).
Thread - tan flat waxed 210 denier
Mouth parts - Rust (orange) Arctic fox fur
Eyes - Medium black bead chain.
Weight - Medium brass hourglass or lead.
Body - Pearl tan Estaz chenille.
Legs - Tan Loco silicone legs.
Over wing - Coyote fur (tied in short & flattened).
I'll give a report back in late January on what did or didn't eat them !

I think - ultimately - the sharks will eat them.
