Considering upgrading carpeted bunks on my boat trailer to this plastic option.

Has anyone done this or know someone who has experience with this product or an alternative? Is this an improvement over carpet as come standard on most american trailer boats?

Use some silicon spray on the carpet every other trip.

This is the 1st time that I have seen this product and it looks good and the theory is there. It may be worth asking the question regarding heat as there are some types of nylon that do get sticky. This being a US product? their temps are somewhat different to what we get at times.
Through the winter and in the colder weather should shoot regardless.

Just a thought.
If you find out the specific composition of the product give my brother a call as he know a lot about nylons.

Cheers

Thanks Arn,

Have decided to give it a trial as not that expensive and have to take the bunks off for other repairs. I think it will work, will be interesting to see how the plastic handles in summer in WA. May call your brother for a chat on it, I think it will be an upgrade on carpet. I've tried the silicone spray trick but still not ideal especially as my hull is antifouled and still "sticky" on the carpet...
