Hi all.
This month's meeting activity is going to be all about knots and roll your own leaders. Its a huge subject, so we're going to spend the night discussing. We'll run through a few different line joining knots, followed by how to build some different leaders. Lastly we'll discuss what knots to use to tie the fly to your leader.
I'm guessing Graeme will be doing some casting before the meeting.
Hope to see you there.
Meeting Tuesday 2nd November 2021

For anyone who wants to cast, I'm switching locations to Gairloch Reserve:

The cricketers smashing the ball with reckless disregard for other park users makes me think someone will get seriously injured at Shirley Strickland Reserve before long.
I expect to be at Gairloch Reserve from 4:30 onwards.

So good to step back and watch how interactive this meeting was, everyone was getting into it. Loved the knot offs between anglers and the subsequent reactions this

So has anyone found a new knot, a better way to tie their existing knots or improved leader set up?
I'm going to swap my double overhand knot for a perfection loop for joining my leader to flyline. Perfection loop looks to sit straighter and a bit smaller.
