Re: Boneheads
Adding to Doug's post 2/0 clousers are pretty much standard fare. Throw in some deceivers and surf candies. Buggy looking flies like squimps won't go astray either. 2/0 and 4/0 Fat Boys if you're serious about trying to hook something big. Surface flies like poppers and crease flies are always fun ...

Re: Business Cards?
It's a good idea Rudolph. Another thing that we have to try and organize. In the meantime, I've the club field day flyers. You're welcome to take a handful of them to hand out.

Re: Wanted - New small reel
It's a no brainer Simon. Tibor Everglades. Perfect 8 wt reel, lots of pretty colours, reliable drag, etc, etc. Only down side is it's a little heavier than some of the newer design reels. Chris or Rohan are pretty competitive on pricing for club members.

Re: Swan fishing well
Can't seem motivated to get up early to fish the Swan. It was lunch time by the time I got going yesterday. First stop was Point Res. Resembled a washing machine with all the boat traffic. Didn't get out of the car, and kept moving.

Re: The swan river rod
Hi Mat
I'm personally not a fan of 9'6 rods. They generally tend to feel heavier in the hand and do not feel as crisp as the 9' version. For me, I mostly fish a couple of 4wts in the river. If the wind is blowing, I look for spots where it's a little more out of the wind, or use the wind to my ...

Re: Exmouth @ Xmas/New Year
G'day Martin
We had some tough conditions this year with the winds. Fish wern't real co-operative as well. Sorry to hear that you guys had to cut your trip short. Fishing didn't really pick up the second half of the trip, but Arnold found bait balls in front of Bay of Rest. Mixed bag of fish ...
