Re: Boneheads 2015
Here's a few pics from the Top Ender's trip...thanks to Dr Matt for being my deckie for the week.
A few highlights...
Shore based sight casting to Spanglies on the flats at Pilgramanna - a great way to while away time whilst the gulf settled down post cyclone.
A couple of Jobfish on the last day in a new spot off the Lighthouse - they fight hard.
Sight casting to metre queenies around Roberts and Doule Islands - something I thought out of the question following the cyclone.
The presence of Giant Herring in good numbers and size around the islands.
Taking first timer Ash Porter down to the gulf islands and seeing him get mauled by all and sundry including a fine Northern Threadfin from hard up the back of the mangroves on Doule Is (see pic)
The group ended up with approx 52 species for the week.

Nothing like being back at work to remind me of how much I enjoy being away with the boy's fishing ! despite Quang's best effort I thoroughly enjoyed Boneheads 2015, good social vibe, plenty of piss taking, laughter, learning and a few good fish to round it off ! Another massive pat on the back for you Gav, a great organising effort under a bit of duress ! well done mate Also a big thanks to my fellow roomy's (homies), Graeme your officially banned from ever using the toilet at my place though ! and to my illustrious skipper for allowing me passage aboard the best fishing weapon up there, the SS MAGNET !
