G'day Sami. Yeah, that was Steve and me out on Sunday.
The boat went well. Didn't sink when we put her in the drink. Motor turned over first crank. Went forward faster than backwards. All's good.
Still getting used to the boat, but real happy with how she went. Just getting the motor run in so that I can get the first service organized. I've got the 90hp Suzuki on the back. Was worried that it may have been a little underpowered, but after Sunday, its feels just about right. The motor is a bit louder than my old motor, but then, it's almost double the hp.
Fitted a HDS10 with structure scan, so spent a fair bit of time playing around with the unit to get familiar with how it works. It's a pretty impressive bit of technology. I can see that it's going to be a steep learning curve to get the best out of the unit. Couldn't wait for the HDS touch screen, as they are just becoming available now.
We probably got half way to stragglers just to see how she would go in the chop. All I can say is no more tinny rrr's.

Trim tabs were part of the package and it was impressive how well they worked.
Only down side was we didn't manage to get much in the way of fish. Must have been too perfect a day. All that technology and I probably catch more wading.
