so would these be good for dredging reef chris? in say 15 or 20m of water?

That's a bit outside my experience, best ask Tony O or one of the guys who've tried this sort of deeper work. My guess would be that yes, as long as you can wait and your using whatever current there is to help rather than hinder the lines decent.

Pretty much what Chris said Nic. It's the nicest 'casting/fishing' option, however, it may start to get expensive if you don't control how the line sinks, or a fish reefs you before you realize.

yeh just thought of that may be best get a shooting t-8 head for the 8#? then i can just replace the head if it gets wrecked.

is t-8 alright for an 8# or what?

Haven't used the Textured Dave. Picked up the standard streamer express 350 grn to replace the one I lost christmas time at Exmouth.
