Great Pics Steve. Where did you guys find the clear water in the gulf on the eastern side or down the southern end? I've just returned from Exmouth and found the western side still very murky.

Rudi,
we found it was quite random and localised as to where the clean water was on the Western side. And it changed on a daily basis.
Some days from Doule through to the top of Roberts had clean water but as you went past little Roberts to Whitmore it turned dirty and then cleaned again further North. Really a case of getting lucky with right place - right time.

Sums up my week, a couple good fish in a tough but enjoyable week, and some great food...thanks Dale !!! Thanks Pete Birch for the boat rides and Pete Morse for some good company on the shore based days and also to Dale again for being good company on the boating days, its a good feeling to see newcomers appreciating the surroundings and fish that these areas offer.

Another dish by dale,a great Korma fish curry, we went out of our way to catch a couple of bream and brassies so we had something to put in it, then Morsie returned from coral bay with a big slab of Spaniard ... thanks Pete , it was the perfect ingredient, and the litties ended up getting filleted and came home so they didn't go to waste. Also a pic of the final night dinner at Pinnochio's.

Hey Rudi, Dave and I found clean water like the others in certain patches, on the eastern side of the gulf around Simpson Is, Hope Pt, Deep Crk was clean and the south east corner around Tree Crk, Sand spit and Rich's as well as Roberts and the top of Doole were all clean most of the time a few days after the cyclone ? the western side of the gulf and most of the middle all the way over and around Whalebone were still pretty dirty at the end of our trip. :)

Matt, Gav won the rod on a good 1m queenie.
