Wanted to Buy 9wt
Wanted to Buy 9wt
Got a mate looking for a good saltwater 9wt. Mid $200's is his top dollar...anyone selling ?
Re: Wanted to Buy 9wt
Rohan I've got a Colton Tradewinds XS 9 weight that id part ways with for $200 if he's interested and still looking. Very slight cosmetic corrosion on one or two guides, otherwise good condition. Only used it a couple of time in Exmouth as a backup rod.

Thanks Rick, i'm not up to speed with that model, will do some research.
Re: Wanted to Buy 9wt
Not a bad casting rod imo, throws a SA textured F/I well. The older Colton Tradewinds were apparently supper fast and hard to cast for some, so they tweaked it a bit and came up with the xs which is a little more progressive. Also supposed to have a bit of nano tech in it. In comparison to the proaxis it was a back up for, and now the Clutch Arc i have, it doesn't have the backbone, but loaded and presented much easier than the hardy, although still with enough grunt to punch a crab into the wind. I had a scott tidal briefly that I was going to replace it with, but the tidal let me down badly in the wind.......
Try the colton web site for specifics, their reels are bloody good for the money and built in house in the states, however these rods I think are a Korean build.
No worries if he prefers a more well known brand, I still need a back up 9. But if i can sell it I can justify buying another cheapish rod to experiment with.
