Had a quick bino recon at bunkers today, swell is up and supposed to be peaking at 5.7m tonight then slowly dropping sunday. The spot I have been getting my fish is surfable at the moment with a nice little right hand break. Few beach fishos with a fish each but didnt see any hooked. Dolphins cutting into a school out deeper. Few boats out deeper again but couldnt see any bent rods. They were trying to get closer into the rocks to the east but the swell was keeping them away. Thinking I will probably give it a miss with the swell and the shallower water sight fishing out of the question.

One of today's Salmon.

There's a story behind this fish. Rod is a 10 weight Sage Method. We were scrounging around in the boat to find some 3kg tippet for club records. Arnold said he had some on a reel with ready built leader. He kindly lent me his reel with rigged leader. What he didn't tell me was that the line was a 5 weight line. Was interesting casting to salmon frothy's with that setup. Managed to get the photo, but forgot to measure the fish. :x Oh well, will have to get out and try again.

great for you guys that the salmon are on the go again, very jealous .

Here in the Netherlands I managed a couple of pike before the season closed (will open again soon) and a reasonable carp, but nothing that pulls string like a good salmon.

They're going off in front of Riverside Drive at Victoria Ave.

I don't have a rod with me & I'm going nuts here.
