Not much changed recently in tropical intermediates pretty much three brands , my pick is still the Rio Saltwater Tropical Intermediate, it has a useful taper generally a good compromise between accurate presentations, quick casts and casting heavier flies so another words a good all round line and is hard wearing as any, Sci Anglers Sunrise/Clear tip tropical intermediate is also very nice and hard wearing, it is more to the castings big flies end of the spectrum, it tend to dump the front part of the line rather than turning over nicely but I still enjoy using mine, and its lasted multiple trips without signs of deteriorating. Cant comment on modern Airflo lines as i haven't tried them. It is worth considering that any lubricating chemicals usually go hand in hand with colouring which is why most lines have some solid colour and only a clear tip section. So far as far as I know all completely clear lines have no lubricating chemicals in the finish and can be horribly sticky.
