10wt flats line.

Post by peter birch » Fri Apr 24, 2020 9:19 am

Looking to get a flats line for my epic 10wt glass rod, I’ve got sinking and intermediate lines.
Can anyone loan me a line so I can have a cast on grass to see how it’s casts.

Hey Birchy, I would personally recommend the Rio 'Flats Pro', I've got the stealth tip (6' clear tip) in a 10wt if you want to chuck it around ? obviously it's been heavily used but it may give you some food for thought ?

Got the flats pro stealth in both 9 & 10. Welcome to try.

The flats pro is one line weight heavy. For that rod, I'd go with the 9wt version Birchy.

Of course, if by "flats line" you mean a floating line (because yanks think flats are all 18" deep), the 9wt Rio Permit is also good choice for that rod.
