Maintaining my tibor reel after boneheads and cant find my grease to apply to the cork drag. Also too impatient to order from States.
I recall excellent talk at monthly meeting about reel maintenance and mixing grease with graphite. What I recall is mixing inox M6 with graphite powder (I already have these). Just wanted to confirm I remember rightly. I will then clean and apply light smear onto Tibor drag cork. I use M6 without graphite on rest of reel.
thanks in advance

Re: Grease for Tibor Drag Cork
I use Cal's 2 speed grease. It's the biz.
I purchased mine from Jack Erskine in QLD many moons ago. But you can buy it from a few places online in Oz.
The tan cloured one is for drag washers. There's a purple grease for bearings & gears, however I use the tan on everything, screw threads, bearings, cork drag, pawls...
For best results remove the old lubricant from the cork with a bit of white spirits and a cloth.

Thanks Phil and Brett for your advice / offers. I am going to trial with what I have. If it fails, I will take Phil up on his offer of the proper grease.
