Here is a new PETITION, This one specifically refers to South Australian Waters, as they have a Labour state government,
probably still worthwile to support if you don't like the lock out agenda.

Without advocating breaking the law if you go fish in these massive no fish zones- how in the hell are they going to catch you?

It's hard enough for them to control what they have let alone a trillion extra square kilometres.

It's such a dumb idea.

Yes, i agree Matt, problem is, do we have to become criminals to even catch and release ? Remember too the law regulating these area's is not just "no fishing" , it is not legal to BE in these area's with a RIGGED rod or Handline. They also talk of fines as "units". Fines of up to 500 units are discussed, 1 unit equals $100. Not sure how many "units" would be fined for being caught without any fish, but it would still be too many "units" i'm guessing.
Most have probable seen this, but check out the ratio of professionally caught fish to Area of economic zone waters compered to some other countries, remembering that some of our own pro's will go out of business, increasing the amount of fish we will need to import from overseas, probably from some of the places that are overfished...
