Stephen, the material you want is super hair. Unique hair looks the same but is softer. Flash is a mix of lateral scale and saltwater flashbou. Don't go too fine.
For Rompin, we've been using Cam Sigler flies (feather tube flies), as they don't matt into a ball when you get a strike. This is Dominic's preference, and our limited experience over there matches his thoughts. If your're fishing dead drifted flies/sinking lines, FPF's are fine.
