Could be Dave,
though my take for what it's worth is
Kalgan use more natural colours, tan root bear flash, slightly more transparent legs.
Blackwood, Walpole UV seems the go (UV flash UV leg UV dubbing and good sunny's to protect the eyes :D )
Murray have some gold, surface or below. had some cool gold flecked transparent legs that I don't seem to be able to find anymore. they did alright back when first started hitting the Murray with passion fingers

common theme I would say is artic Fox, Marabou or some such can't beat natural fibres as they breath in the water at rest.

as I have said for a while now is just because your disco can pop loud doesn't mean you have to, Tony and myself have also found that no pop and just wake the fly can work in more hook ups.
This is probably that you are in better contact (RE: NO SLACK IN THE SYSTEM) or they hit with a bit more gusto.

after saying all that the little man's bright green got smashed by some brutes last trip

Interesting to note Dave. I've experienced more of the opposite. The guy fishing uv constantly getting more hits. Always a good excuse to get out more and test out these far flung theories. :D
