Good to hear Rudi. Saw some video of a Salmon 'frothy' on the 3 mile this afternoon too, so they seem to be widespread.

Out this morning looking for them on foot, unfortunately couldn't find them. Tried north mole, woodman point and rock walls just south of woodman point. Plenty of baitfish around at the rock walls, just some herring.

Tony and I managed to get out on Sunday arvo while the derby was on and avoid the large Saturday crowd ! :) the weather was amazing and the fish were still around Rowboat and also on the patch of reef just to the north (which the crowd were unaware of). Had a great time on surface flies and sub surface flies, when the fish start sulking down near the bottom there is no substitute for a good sinking line ! Tony took this nice timer shot by using a couple of rod wraps on the console rail to hold the DSLR on top of the sounder, came out pretty good for a Harfin Reels promotional shot ! :D :D

Young Cam got in on the action in the Dawesville cut last Friday with his first Salmon - one of 2 up to 80cm.
He also caught some tailor and herring on fly.

Good work Cam. Gav, you need to hide distinguishing features when posting pictures. I've GPS marked your secret salmon spot from houses in the background. :D

Pretty close to where I spotted a mermaid a month ago

Hey Rudolph
those mermaids are harder to catch than Salmon though, you need a 'gold' bomber fly or at least a fly with a lot of bling to catch one of those....... or so I'm told ?
