We did see some fish with big yellow paddle tails. Glow in the dark eyes. Same spot as we saw them last year. Still haunting us, as we've managed to get them to lick flies, but not managed to get hook-ups.

I know the spot and the fish. It's a pity they don't want to play the game ….

There are a couple of spots around the Gulf to see them and tickle there noses...

Back to the topic - i bet they would go really really hard on a fibreglass stick like the 6'6" Eagle Claw...

Did you end up getting enough interest to put an order in with Cameron?

Not Blocchi's. They're are as common as mud. :) Saw a few on some of the days, had some good shots, but they didn't want to play the game.

Well, my "3/4" weight rod just arrived...only it says "4/5 weight" on the rod :)

However the model number is correct :? :) A bit of googling reveals this is not an uncommon occurrence...I half expected it as I wasn't able to find anyone selling the 3/4 and the 4/5 - it was always one or the other.

Still looks pretty good, and for $60 delivered I can't complain.

A few of us had a cast of the 4/5 weight before the club meeting last night with a couple of different lines.

I was quite impressed with it - faster than I was expecting.

Consensus was that it is more of a 5 weight that a 4 weight. It felt a little underlined with a 4 weight line through it.

Cheers,

Dave.
