Boneheads 2014
Re: Boneheads 2014
I used to fish straight inters up at Exy but a day out with Alan Philiskirk on my boat 2 years ago convinced me that the floater with inter sink tip is a great flats option - apart from the easy line management when wading, if you don't make the first cast accurately, its easy to make a recast quickly ..food for thought.
Re: Boneheads 2014
Cheers Gavin, I have one for my 9wt which I will put to test in Coral Bay next month.

I only had 1 shot at a permit & I got him.. its the bonefish for some reason that are my nemesis.. and meter queenies.. Ive hooked enough still haven't got one boat side..over the meter mark anyway!Graeme Hird wrote:He is a choker! His casting arm turns to jelly when there are permit or bones nearby ...

So wading up in Exmouth, Would it be annoying carrying two rods ? Eg 8wt and a 10 wt?? Or should i just use my 9 wt

Whats everyones thoughts. ?? Cheers

Leave a spare rod in the car hidden away in case you break a rod. It's possible to carry two rods, but invariably, the second rod gets in the way.

Cheers Tony,
I know I know, way too many questions and I'm sorry for that
But if it's possible too bring my dingy up would that open up more fishing and would it be worth towing it
Up ? Only a 12 footer but easy too launch can put it on the beach and pull the nose around
With one person. I know it's small and would be limited but would that be alright for in and around
The lagoon or would it be better off just wading. Sorry guys just hard having not been up there before
But any advice would be great. Cheers

Matt - there are plenty of spots to fish out of a 12ft tinnie up there - Bay of Rest, Pilgramanna are just 2 spots that would be perfect for your tinnie - opens up lots of opportunities.
If you are happy towing it I would take it - got nothing to lose.
I have seen guys catching sails from 12 ft tinnies on a good day out from Tantabiddi.

Cheers Gav,
sails from a 12 foot dinghy sounds epic, but would just be happy getting into a few more fish than waiting on shore for something too swim past.. i think i should definetly look into taking it. Cheers
