Hi guys, iv been experimenting with making my own leaders there’s plenty of info out there but I want local knowledge
Starting to really get in to the swan Tailor on my 8 weight and loving it but after a decent battle a bust off with a monster
So my question is what leader And tippets are people having success with?
I’d love some good info to knock out a few New leaders for the weekend
Thanks guys

A short bite Tippett of 30 lb should see you land most fish. You'll still get the occasional bite off, and will need to check your leader after every fish.
Keep total length of your leader around 9 feet, unless you are fishing a floating line and wish to get deeper.

You can also tie your flies further back from the eye of the hook and leave that section bare. This will act as a "wire trace" if you like. Have a look at the Giant Herring Fly on the website.
