I'll bet no one can tell me what Brett is doing here. Yes I know swimming...but there is more of a story.

Have some fun and think of outlandish or unlikely stores and share...I bet no one gets it right...

Location: Belmont, Tuesday 17th March....

Boat broken down
Well yes... Fairly obvious. But the reason why that is out of the ordinary (at least I think it is).
out of juice
No (that's too ordinary)
Boat drifted away from ramp?
- no, we were trying to get it TO the ramp.

Think something you wouldn't expect...especially for the first trip after getting it serviced.

Prop fell off ?
I can't believe someone got it so soon - YES. (Well done Mike)

Boat serviced last week...doing a high speed run down the ski area to make sure everything was OK...stopped to idle close to the ramp to organised the painter on the windage side of the boat and put the motor back into gear. A bit of noise but no movement. Tried reverse - same result. Turned it off and said to Brett as I raised the motor - "Do we have something around the prop" he replied - "What prop?" (no kidding - that is what he said...)

No boats around to give us a lift in to the ramp so fortunately had enough rope for Brett to swim to shore and pull it into the ramp. (Thanks Brett).

A good example of why you test a motor after a service to make sure everything is OK.

A bad example of servicing!! (probably forgot to put a split pin in after remove/install the propeller.) I wonder what else they forgot.

Cockburn Sea Rescue told me the majority of their tow ins are first trip after a service :) There is probably a lesson or two in that...

Prop falling off is pretty impressive though! Don’t suppose you managed to get it back?
