With the salmon slow to arrive in the metro and borders closed, does anyone have any good carp spots that aren't super super secret and actually have fishable fish?

if you like golf and fishing, I can recommend the lake at the par 3 8th at Meadow Springs mate
Pop a 6wt in your bag and see how you go.
