Saltwater Flyrodders

Hi all
A precaution message for anyone about to head up to Exmouth.
Couple of days after returning from a trip I started to suffer from my whole
body seizing up and muscle and joint pain.
And dizziness. Looks like I got a dodgy mosquito bite.
Have just been diagnosed with Barmah Forest Virus , similar to
Ross River Virus though thankfully not as dangerous.

Wow Mike - sounds nasty! Hope you recover quickly!

When was your trip Mike? Anyone else you know get it as well? I've just googled BFV and it sounds nasty, hope you are one of the lucky ones who recovers quickly. Thanks for sharing.

I get those symptoms every time I get back from Exmouth. Withdrawal symptoms from lack of fishing.
All jokes aside, hope you have a quick recovery Mike.
