Saltwater Flyrodders

went to rotto for half of tuesday and wednesday, wednesday was blown and rained out so only really fished for the half of tuesday on a reef ledge down westend way. conditions were amazing and the hour and a half we fished was some of the most hectic action packed fishing ive ever had. I caught over 20 herring in the short session mostly sight fished all caught on small white clousers stripped very fast across the surface and to my surprise i caught 15 garfish on the same flies a first for me and it was incredible watching them follow the fly up some over a foot in length these things were horses. Last species caught was western king wrasse the almost cost me my fly rod i seriously though it was going to snap the wrasse were not joke 1kg+ i suspect around 1.5kg and fought dirty!
