FIFO Flyfishing

Spend some time in Port Hedland for work. Between handover and my flight back to Perth on Saturday I joined a mate for some offshore fishing. With iron ore ships all around us we fished around the channel markers. At the first marker we picked up some small Mackies. At the second marker my friend brought queenies hot-the-trot (as Steve would say) to the surface on soft plastics. We had double hook ups on nearly every drift. We each managed 2 queenies. We pulled the hook on another 3 and got sadly sharked on another two each. The fish of the day belonging to the Belgian skipper. Unbelievable to have such good fishing next to a very bussy shipping lane.

Good stuff Rudi! Can't complain with a job that gives you the chance to fish places like that!
