Casting Day Sunday 26th October 2025
Posted: Thu Oct 02, 2025 3:44 pm
We have a casting day scheduled for Sunday 26th October 2025
JH Abrams Reserve
End of The Broadway
Nedlands.
Start time, around 9.00 am. The guys will hang around for as long as there are interested people. (We usually finish up by about 2.00pm)
We'll try our best to have a sausage sizzle going for lunch, however, a few of the committee will be away, so we'll play this by ear.
This casting day will be more of a casual affair. Bring along some rods, reels and lines and have a cast of some of the gear that is available. Following on from the casting talk at October's meeting, this is a good chance to put some different lines on rods to try out how different lines feel on different rods.
They'll be a few of us on hand to give some casting tips on the day as well. This is a good chance to get some tips and remedies before bad habits start setting in and becomes an issue later on down the track.
This is an opportunity to fine tune and improve your casting. If you know of someone that is interested in getting into fly fishing, you're welcome to invite them along. All are welcome to come along.
There is usually a big range of rods, reels and lines to try out on the day.
It's always a fun day. Hope to see you there.
