I'm using hard-soled neoprene boots available at places like BCF and Bluewater. They can get a little warm if you're out of the water (like I am on my kayak) but they are fine in the water.

Also buy long pants and long sleeved shirts for sun protection, a Buff or similar neck and face protector (not just sun, but sandflies and mossies) and perhaps light-weight sun gloves.

Cheers,
Graeme

Neo booties with the spikes on the sole (rock hoppers) are the go. Amazing grip on slippery rocks. Wear long thick socks underneath and fold the tops down over the outside to keep sand out of the zips. Not appreciated by boat skippers, so always take off before climbing back onto the boat.

those boots are good.. but they can fill with sand unless youdo what roger said.. it can make for a very uncomfortable afternoon with a bit of sun and no skin on the backs of your heels! thongs are the g-o I reckon on the Ningaloo side..

Thongs don't offer enough protection and are a bastard to keep on your feet when you are in the water (they suck into the sand and then float away).

Cheers,
Graeme

I'm sure Steve is talking about the other type of thong Graeme. Just don't want to bump into him fishing. :P
