Not that i have been sucessful but had a go last holidays when we stopped in on the way home from gnaraloo. its a beautiful rivermouth that is pretty open (for the backcast) but outside of the mouth looks really rough and ive seen the tide pump on the way out. not really sure of species but the usual beach/river stuff would be around. you can hire boats, little tinnies, to get around and the boat hire guy will run you across and back for $5. I havent fished the north coast from the river but have surfed echo's, about an hours walk up the beach. I think there might be some ledges/cliffs you may be able to cast off...watch the surf though.

Sorry i cant be more help and let us know how you get on.

There are Bream and Jacks in the river. Look for structure to cast to, the usual places as per the Swan would be fine.

Along the coast, the target would be Tailor or Mulloway. Would depend on the weather though. You can get a strong inshore breeze in the afternoons. Early morning or late afternoon/evening best times for the Tailor.

At the mouth, poppers are best to keep above the reef.

Hope this helps.
