Casting Day Sunday 24 November 2013

Post by Tony Ong » Thu Oct 31, 2013 9:10 am

We have another casting day organized for the end of this month. Quite a few of the rod companies have released new models, and there's now some of this starting to appear in shops. Hopefully, we'll be able to get some of these new rods down for the casting day.
The idea of the day is to come along and try different rods, reels and lines.
If you would like some casting tips, this is a good opportunity, as there's always someone willing to help.
We'll make up some casting games through the day to keep things interesting as well.
Venue is the Nedlands Rubgy Club grounds, at the end of the Broadway, in Nedlands.
10.00am start

I'll have my own Scott Radian R906/4FB 6wt down there as well as hopefully an 8wt from the shop with a selection of lines if anyone wants a cast.

Damn, I forgot to wash the rod. All that drooling, and now you're talking about the pulling method.

I think I heard some of them mention "dressing the line", but I didn't know exactly what they were referring to.

whos the attractive guy in the 2nd photo with a method in his hand.. just imagine the excitement you could have if you had a 3rd arm.. you could have 2 rods in your hand & still be able to double haul!
