If I'm in town, I'd love to come along and will bring my Beulah Surf 8/9wt Switch rod for people to have a flick with.

I'm still learning with it, so hopefully some more experienced spey rodders will be attending.

I'm bringing the following:
  • * Epic 476 (4wt)
    * Epic 580 (5wt)
    * Epic 686 (6wt)
    * Cabelas Stowaway6 7'6" 4wt 6pc (This ~$100 rod will surprise a lot of people! :))
    * Cabelas Stowaway6 8'6" 5wt 6pc (Same for this one.)
    * TFO MiniMag 6-8wt
    * TFO MiniMag 8-10wt
    * Wildfish Wind Warrior 6wt
    * Numerous other rods that will remain in their pouches unless someone wants to play with one.
I'm also going to bring a few "Velcro flies" and my Velcro target that I use for accuracy practice. I might even make up Velcro Barra for a bit of competitive fun.

Cheers,

I might speak to the wife and see if we can do a weekend in Perth. Would love to come up to this and get somebody with a little more knowledge to help point out any weaknesses in my cast if possible?

Can bring the following
8wt TFO BVK
6wt innovator velocity
4wt MHX 7'0 custom build "tactical!"

The more that turn up to these days, the merrier. Lots of outfits to try out. Only problem with these days is opens that nasty door that says you want (not need) more gear. :D

We usually run the casting days at the Nedlands Rugby club grounds. Just need to check that there's nothing going on that weekend. Start around 10 am and we'll go for as long as everyone is willing.

Suits fine, should be a 10 min drive from the inlaws place in Floreat at the most.
