Howdy, folks.
I'm looking for like minded people that are keen to chase down some mulloway in the Swan this season.
Realise that the rain of late most likely means that they'll be pushed down to the North Mole, but wanted to put it out there if anybody was also keen.
Fair warning, however, I've never caught one. lol

Mulloway
Our tradition is that of the first man who sneaked away to the creek when the tribe did not really need fish.

Sounds great, DNYE. I'm tying up an assortment of baitfish patterns as we speak.
I'm going to have the first week of October off from work (changing jobs - woot!). If the conditions are good and people are keen, I'd be down to do some night fishing or any kind of fishing for that matter. Haha.

Keep me in the loop Steve. Some company chasing Mulloway never goes astray.

I'm incredibly keen and need to start sending fish pics back to Canada. All of my friends are sending me fish pics of their late season trout and steelhead and it's going to get worse through the September - November gauntlet.Tony Ong wrote:Keep me in the loop Steve. Great point. I don't really know what to tie up. I've put together some white clousers with a moderate amount of flash. I could also tie up some prawns in a 4/0 or something.DNYE wrote:Yep me too mate! Tony what flies would you recommend?
Something along these lines but bigger.

Would be keen to have some guidance and advice on the matter.

Hi Steve,
Try tying some heavy eye flashy green over white clousers in 4/0 about 3-4" long.

Upsize a meldrum clouser to a 4/0.
