PS - Roger, the details are essentially as shown in the first post in this thread. I expanded them a little last night, but nothing important is missing from above.

Hi Graeme,

Have you had a chance to work out dates and times yet?

Hi all,

The date is the 22nd of November (a Saturday), the starting time will be 9.00am.

As for the place, I'd like to suggest Troy Park in Attadale because there are shallow flats nearby that allow Paul to instruct on single-hand spey techniques and roll casting. Of course, there is also grass ...

Most of us know the area well as it is the carpark you use when you are fishing lucky bay. Which used to be the one of the best flats in Perth for flathead.

I stopped fishing there because the car kept being broken into.

We'll probably be sharing the carpark with parents of junior cricketers playing on the big oval. Security in numbers?

Paul has confirmed his flights with me and likes the plan of being able to swap from grass to water casting, so the details I mentioned above are now solid.

See you guys there.

You could also look at the golf driving range further down towards Point Walter mate.... better parking on a Saturday morning and is only a few hundred meters from Troy park!

Yeah, heaps of parking on the Attadale foreshore (Burke Drive) as Justin says. Still got easy access to flats/water too.

So I am picking up a strong reluctance to go to Troy Park, even though there is good grassed areas, good parking, good access to water and even good fishing there. Do you really want to change to the area near Burke Drive, and if so, why? (I've fished from Troy Park for years with no problems around parking or break-ins.)

Just another option Graeme...I have never parked in there on a Saturday morning, but just thought it might fill up pretty quickly if cricket etc. is on.

If it is a bit busy we can easily move a few hundred metres down to Burke Drive :)
