tough day to be a fishermen

Post by Spencer King » Sun Jul 26, 2015 7:54 pm

Today i managed to lodge a treble into my finger while still attached to Mason's 5kg salmon. After jumping onto another boat to get the lure removed from the treble Mason manned up and drove the boat back to woodmans point (started slowly but grew more confident in the last couple of km's). I had called Graeme before we started back to the ramp as thought it might be hard to drive the tralier down to get boat. So after giving up a couple of hours of his time you would think he deserved a good fishing session in the afternoon. Well i have just received a photo of Graeme's arm wrapped in a bandage as he was attacked by a dog while fishing on a beach. So we have both had tetanus shots, hope everyone else's day was great.
Ps i will be adding a pair of split ring pliers to the boat box as was alot better with lure removed then with it attached.

And I'm considering buying a "priest" for beach fishing. Being attacked by a 35kg mongrel is not much fun.

Sleeve.jpg
A bit of blood from a very deep puncture wound.
Arm.jpg
The wound. Doesn't look much, but it oozed blood all night.

Funnily enough, both Spence and I are on 10 day courses of AmoxycClav for our injuries.

Far out, hopefully that's all of your bad luck gone for the year guys.

Hope you both have a speedy recovery!
