A while back, I had issues with my GPS and Sounder screens having water marks that wouldn't come off. This was due in part to my laziness of not drying the screen properly after washing. Lots of suggestions made, but none of them would get the marks off the screen. So I starting searching for something that would help to reduce this.
I came across these guys.

They do LCD screen protectors. Reasonably priced and freight is not excessive. It does come by snail mail, so expect up to 3-4 weeks wait.
I've been using this for over a year now, and it seems to hold up pretty well. Best thing about this product, when it gets a little old and ratty, peel it off and stick a new one on.
Give them a try.

Another suggestion Tony is that you could buy generic tablet screen protectors and cut to size very cheaply from ebay.
I have one of my Galaxy Tablet that is also anti-glare which makes it much easier to read in full sunlight - could be useful for a boat GPS.

When I first started looking around a few years back, I could find lots to fit mobile phones, hand held & car gps. Large sheets were hard to find. With things like tablets now, it's a lot easier to source.

I faced a similar problem and the solution was to buy a spray used by graphic design mobs. It is called Sprayway 40 Graphic Arts Glass Cleaner. It works well on the screen as is but also with the nu-shield (which is anti-glare).
HumminBird recommend a particular windex product with vinegar in it...
I'll hunt up my records.

Re: Water stained LCD screen
Have you guys tried pure isopropyl alcohol - easily available from Bunnings and it's what I've always cleaned my cameras/lenses with.
Re: Water stained LCD screen
I tried all sorts of cleaners. Bottom line was the stains were almost impossible to remove. Isoproyl alcohol probalby worked the best out of the lot, but didn't get all the stains. Thanks for info Adam. Always good to have some alternatives.
