Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had a 5 or 6wt they would be willing to part with? I am looking to go to new zealand after uni for a few weeks and would like to target some trout while there but need some lighter gear other than the 9 and 10/11 weight I have for the salt. also if anyone has a reel too that would be great. Please let me know.

I have a brand new Eden reel with spare spool I am looking to move on. The Fly fisher in Melbourne sell them as there "brand". It is a 5/7 weight reel. $200 posted.

If I'd known on Tuesday I would have sent you along to the freshwater fly club's meeting. They held their club auction on Tuesday evening. Ah well, I'm sure there's something around.

I also have a 2 piece, 6wt, 8foot 6 Redington rod in good condition. $120 and I will throw in a 6wt SA gpx line if you buy them both.

Hey Chris. I would love to purchase that rod sounds like a great deal. Does it come with a rod tube for travel? also does anyone on here know some good fishing spots in new Zealand to check out? will be there for two weeks road tripping at the end of November and I dont think i will be able to live with myself if i dont put myself on some NZ trout... thanks in advance everyone!!!

Yeah it comes with a alloy tube and rod sock.
I am off to NZ for 3 weeks In December. I could only give you a bit of advice on the top of the South Island. Give me a call to discuss 0447020700.
