I'm more interested in long term use/quality than price for this purchase, so I would prefer to pay a little more if it makes the difference.

Not a Nautilus. Aparently you seem to have problems with yours Doc.
If you're looking bling, one of the Abel fish graphics would fit the bill. They don't wind themselves backwards either, as they have both in and out going clickers.

Tony, I'm sure it's just the Tibor mafia trying to bring me unstuck.

I borrowed Steve's Abel super6 for XI - great reel. I'm surprised Tibor doesn't seem to make a saltwater 6. So apart from Abel (and Nautilus

Look for a Sage 3300D. The model is now discontinued but has the same drag as the 6000 series but in a 6 weght reel.
The drag is over gunned for a 6 weight as it is serious enough to stop fish bigger than a 6 weight rod can handle.
if you can find one in a tackle store, sitting in the bargain bin grab it. They are still very good reels.

Matt
I still have my burnt orange nautilas 7+ available still. 300m of 50lb backing on it.
I used to use it as my 6wt it now just sits in the box.

Hi Ross,
I may be interested, but also want to know what 6 wt reel you use in preference to the Nautilas?
Cheers,
Matt.
