Fiberglass Rod Group Buy

Post by Jon Hammond » Tue Jan 07, 2014 9:06 pm

Hi all - anyone interested in purchasing an Eagle Claw Featherlight Fiberglass rod?

I've had a play with Simon Penn's 7' 5/6wight and it was a blast!

It'll work out to be about $60ea including shipping and I'm looking to cap it at 3 or 4 rods. Cheap thrills! :D

Let me know if you're interested.

I have a 4/5 wt and it is a fun little thing. I had a cast of one of the 9ft 5 wts the other week and that was a very nice rod. The other thing I like about them is they are so forgiving, you can highstick to your hearts delight and leave them lying around in the corner of the boat without worrying about them.

The models that I can definitely get are:

6'6" 4/5 weight, the 7' 5/6 weight, and the 8' 5/6 weight.

I'm waiting to hear back to see if I can get other models and will keep you in the loop.

Cameron is fantastic to deal with. I purchased a few of the 6'6" 4/5 weights last New Years (2013) for myself and some friends. They are a lot of fun. I have used both the Rio Aqualux WF5I and Gold WF5F and they work very well on the rod.

Have since had friends order a couple of the other models.

It gave me the fiberglass bug and I ordered a CTS 8'0" 5 weight from CTS and had it built up by Indigo Rods. I'm now looking seriously at either a 3 or 9 wieght Epic fiberglass rod from Swift fly Fishing either as a blank, build kit or soon to be released manufactured rod.

hope you have fun with them.

Sounds addictive Adam!

I am ordering from the Fiberglass Manifesto and unfortunately only the 3 models I mentioned are available.

Adam the 9 wt 4piece would be a sweet rod for palagics. I was looking at the 476 in a mocha colour for trout season.
