Anyone ever fished in Thailand before? I understand there are many farms/fishing parks that can be fished but Im looking beyond those at possible jungle trips or at least trips on a lake. Will be there in August which is the wet season apparently and the jungle river fishing for Mahseer is going to be pretty much stuffed with lots of water flowing.
If anyone has had a good trip there I would be keen to hear about it.
Thailand fishing
Re: Thailand fishing
Brad,
I've fished Thailand several times. David Reverdito penned an article in Fly Life this month so you should probably start there. August is the wet season on the west coast of Thailand so the rivers around Khao Sok will be discolored and running high. On the upside, the wet season is the best time to fish for Sebarau or Thai Jungle Perch (think Aussie jungle perch or bass on steroids) and depending on where you are you may be able to fish the rivers on the east coast (which will be dry).
Drop me a pm if you want more details.
Cheers,
Kelvin
