Reels for sale

Hi Guys,

I'm not giving up fly fishing, but I have way too many reels and it's time to cull the herd. Please note: PayPal only for payment. I'm going to use the funds raised to purchase other fly gear and the PayPal account provides domestic bliss.

First up: An Allen Kraken #4 with spare spool. Both spools have around 300m of 50lb GSP braid backing. Excellent condition. $280 This is ideal for 9 to 11 weight lines. I've caught quite a few snapper on this reel and a truck-load of salmon this year. It's very hard to fault these reels. (Sold pending payment)

An Allen Kraken #2. It is spooled up with ~250m of 30lb GSP braid for backing. Excellent condition. $150. This reel is ideal for 5-7wt lines. (Sold pending payment)

Two Allen Alpha II #3 reels. Both are in excellent condition, spooled with ~300m of 30lb GSP backing. $130 each or $220 for both. These reels are for 7-9wt lines. I've probably only used these reels about a dozen times since I bought them. (Sold pending payment)

An Allen Trout II #2. Excellent condition, with about 150m of 30lb GSP braid backing. $120. This reel is for 4 to 6wt lines. Used maybe 5 times before I bought my beloved Solitude reels, and not used since. (Sold pending payment)

An Allen Trout II #1. Excellent condition, with about 100m of 30lb GSP braid backing. $110. This reel is for 1-4wt lines, ideal for very light line fishing. I briefly used it on a three weight before the Solitudes took over. (Sold pending payment)

An Allen Trout #2. Fair condition, with about 80m of 50lb GSP braid backing (Note: the fly line you see on it is not for sale.) $80. This reel is for 4 to 6wt lines. The reel is listed as in fair condition because it has some cosmetic scratches on the frame and drag knob. It functions just fine. (Sold pending payment)

A Valentine PL11, new in box (i.e. mint condition) with about 250m of 50lb GSP braid backing. Complete with blank warranty card and original box (with serial number). $295. For fly lines between 9 and 11wt. I bought this reel on speculation because it's such an unusual reel. It has a planetary gear system in it which increases the retrieve ratio to 3:2. It also means that when a fish runs, the handle does not fly around and wrap you on the knuckles. I never fished with it, using it only as a backing-storage device for when I swapped backing between reels. It hasn't left my Man Cave since bought.
