Hi guys

Time for another field day!

The field day will start on Sunday the 12th of July at 5:00am. We will be fishing the Cockburn Sound but we have decided to open the boundaries from Port Kennedy Bay all to way up to the South Mole in Fremantle. The meetup will be at Woodman Point Marina on Sunday at 4:30pm.

The field day challenges will be:

* Largest Snapper
* Largest Salmon
* Other Species

---Boat base (boat/kayak required to reach destination)---
* Largest Snapper
* Largest Tailor
* Largest Sambo
* Largest Skippy
* Largest Salmon
* Other Species

They have pegs for teeth, but there's a chance that you will lose the odd fish on the hit. I usually fish a 40lb bite tippet to overcome this. Unless you're fishing really nasty ground, you shouldn't need any more than 20lb class tippet.

I am keen for a fish but being shore based I have no idea where to try to fish in this area. Would appreciate some info on where to start!
Is anyone interested in meeting up sometime on Sunday (not at 5am!)

I'll be starting early down Port Kennedy and then working my way north if you want to give me a shout and meet up Roger. I might not hear it on the first ring as it will be behind me in tackle bag so keep ringing it till I answer! lol

Great morning in the sound. Caught 5 salmon in a little over 2 hours. Best bit was watching my son catch his first five salmon on his own (spin tackle). Now to teach him how to cast a fly so he can really get the bug.
