Brad......what is the target, whiting? I'm interested as I will be down that way after Christmas. Was planning on using disco shrimp etc. Would be great to know how you get on.

Cheers,
Mick

In a size 6 hook I doubt that! Would last for the hookup, not sure how much longer before straightening!

Mick- not really sure. I just have a heap of crab coins and got bored last night. Whiting- I hope so but more than likely thinking they will get hit on the sand/weed edges by wrasse, grunter, herring and maybe flathead/flounder. Time will tell! Wondering now if the little 4wt will throw them!

Yellow fin bream and Bonefish would smash em I'm sure ! not sure how many Bonefish you get in Dunner's at this time of year though ? A fractionally bigger version on a 1 - 1/0 would be the perfect Permit fly at Exmouth though ?

Havent been on this site for a while, thought I would give an update.

Lost this fly to what Im pretty sure was a decent wrasse that came out from a weed line, crunched it and took it straight back into his home. 6lb tippet just snapped like cotton. Watched it all happen about 15m in front of me in crystal clear water. Stuffed if I can get replicate that situation again though! Maybe a sub tropical species of bastard!
