More crabs

Post by Brad Yates » Wed Apr 13, 2016 11:08 am

Onto some larger sized crab coins so in turn- larger crabs.

Bottom one is a 5/8 crab coin with a #2 SL12s, lead wrapped shank and heavy eyes. Top one is 7/8 crab coin with a 1/0 SL12s, lead wrapped shank and heavy eyes. Chuck and duck material to get down fast. The bottom one will be a great bream size but have no doubts it would still catch fish up north on the flats like its bigger brother.

Very nice Brad, I have had more luck up north with the smaller flies, crabs and shrimps on size 2# hooks than any of their larger cousins. I think they my be a little less threatening/spooky, land a touch softer or something ? :)
