Here in the Netherlands I managed a couple of pike before the season closed (will open again soon) and a reasonable carp, but nothing that pulls string like a good salmon.

Yes, they yak has been designed so that you can stand up over the hatches. I find the best way to do this is to attach your anchor / drogue on the front or back handle so that a pointy end ...
